I’m Don, a retired educator with a lifelong passion for discovery and growth. My retirement has given me a gift: an abundance of time to explore interesting places, meet new people, and work in unlikely settings that definitely have pushed me out of my comfort zone.

I like to spend time in volunteer work, supporting causes and communities that align with my values. I’m at the age where years of moderate indulgence have impacted my overall level of health and fitness and I’m now trying to reclaim some lost ground.

This blog is my space to reflect upon these experiences, and to share lessons I’ve learned along the way with like-minded travellers.
